Nov. 13th, 2009 02:15 pmDespite the fact that I have no free time, I saw a few new movies recently (I needed a break).
The first movie was The Men who Stare at Goats. It was an okay movie. I had NO idea it was all about hippies, though. And they keep saying it's a semi-true story, but I'm trying to figure out if anything about that was actually true. >_< Either way, it was a weird movie. I'm still laughing about George Cloony telling Ewan McGregor he isn't a Jedi. Hah.
The second movie I saw, which was much, much better was Zombieland. During the opening credits I had already decided that I was buying this movie when it came out on DVD. It was that good. A cool thing about this movie is that it was filmed near where I live. I had heard this, but had forgotten the fact when I went to see the movie. Early in the movie, though, I saw a bumper sticker on a car in the movie that was for a local radio station. I commented on it to my boyfriend, and then we remembered that the movie had been shot here. We then started noticing roads and places that we recognized. It was pretty cool. That's not the only reason the movie was good, of course. This movie was just really freaking funny. And awesome. You need to see it before it gets out of theaters (which will be very soon, I think).
And now, a video that I found on youtube... about Metallica and cute kitties:
( Behind the cut. )
